From time to time broadcasted concerts get available for streaming. Now you can listen to a duo concert I did with fiddler Ragnhild Furebotten in Opatija, Croatia in June 2011 on the RTVE web radio.

I just came back from Pyongyang, and just want to share some of my experiences in videos and pictures!

This autumn I will release an album with composer Arne Nordheim’s works for the accordion: The concerto ‘Spur’, the trio ‘Signals’, ‘DINOSAUROS’ for accordion and electronic tape and the solo piece ‘Flashing’. The album is already recorded, and I have a feeling it will be my most important in quite a while.

I’m heading for the Wittener Tage für Neue Kammermusik in Germany in the end of April, performing a new solo piece by Ørjan Matre, works by the festival profile Hans Abrahamsen and an improvised set with Garth Knox, Rohan de Saram and Rolf-Erik Nystrøm. I’ll also perform with the Arditti Quartet, and I must say I’m looking very much forward to work with this legendary quartet!

In 2011/2012 I have composed and recorded music for the theatre performance ‘Vid din sida’, as well as for the radio plays ‘NEID’ (Bayerische Rundfunk), ‘Die Leere füllen’ (Deutschlandradio Kultur/WDR), ‘Den andre mannen i meg’ (NRK Radioteatret) and ‘Simons historie’ (NRK Radioteatret).

In 2011, more then ten years after Bent Sørensen wrote the solo piece ‘Looking on Darkness’ for me, I premiered yet another piece by this fantastic composer: ‘It Is Pain Flowing Down Slowly on a White Wall’ for accordion and strings. More performances this autumn.

17th of May is a big day in Norway, our day of independence. This year, however, I will celebrate this day in North Korea.
