Om ‘frå djupet ropar eg’ (2016): Tittelen er ei minning om salmen frå Det gamle testamentet, men med berre desse fire orda er den også uavhengig. Musikken er framkomen gjennom å isolere kadensen i akkordeonkonserten “krepsens omvending” (2010) og legge til det som trongst for å gjere den til eit frittståande stykke. Ideen til å gjere dette kom frå Geir Draugsvoll.

About ‘frå djupet ropar eg’ (From the Depths I Have Cried) (2016): The title is of course a quote from Psalm 130 (De profundis), but with only these words in the title it also stands independent of the religious context. The music has been created by isolating the solo cadenza of the accordion concerto ‘Tropic of Cancer’ (2010), adding what was needed to make work as an independent work. The idea to do this came from the Norwegian accordionist Geir Draugsvoll.
