Eivind Buene: Into the Void

Eivind Buene’s large piece ‘Into the Void’ (2008) is performed by the trio POING (Rolf-Erik Nystrøm, saxophones; Frode Haltli, accordion; Håkon Thelin, double bass and electric bass), Per Oddvar Johansen on drums and The Norwegian Wind Ensemble conducted by Christian Eggen.

The score consists mainly of text instructions for improvisation. All written material is indicated in a series of footnotes to the text score. This recording was made during three days in Rainbow Studio, Oslo in 2012.
