AVANT FOLK

Pictures by Knut Utler of Frode Haltli’s new project AVANT FOLK which premiered at Riksscenen, Oslo on February 17th 2017. The concert featured music by Frode Haltli as well as music based on traditional sources, all in an improvisational landscape with contributions on the arrangements from all band members. The musicians in Frode Haltli’s AVANT FOLK are Erlend Apneseth on hardanger violin and Hans P. Kjorstad on violin, Ståle Storløkken on harmonium and synthesizers, Rolf-Erik Nystrøm on saxophones, Hildegunn Øiseth on trumpet, Oddrun Lilja Jonsdottir and Juhani Silvola on guitars, Fredrik Luhr Dietrichson on double bass and Siv Øyunn Kjenstad on drums.
